Just missed at Compton Verney: ALfred Wallis

I looked this exhibition up a few weeks ago, with the full intention of going… after having researching it again today I realise it finished June 5th, most disappointing, so if anyone did go, please let me know what it was like or if you know that it will be travelling to another site where I can visit it.

I came across Alfred Wallis’ work at the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester a few years ago, a talented man as you will see. I have posted a link to compton verney but also to Michael Glovers review of the exhibition within The Independent and you can make your own judgements…

Alfred Wallis is described as a naive artist, whose work only really got discovered and made wide spread after his death.
