EXHIBITION 2: MUSEUM OF EVERYTHING

Below, I have copied and pasted some news from the Museum of Everything’s website in regards to a second exhibition happening mid May…

EXHIBITION #2

  • Are you a marginal or self-taught artist? Do people call your work strange, amateurish, obsessive, even ugly?
  • Have you received a divine calling to depict new worlds? Or discovered a cache of anonymous doodlings?
  • Or are you perhaps an artist with a disability, whose brilliant creativity has been undeservedly overlooked?

If this sounds like you, The Museum of Everything urges you to submit a work on paper to Exhibition #2, a show of new undiscovered art to be held on May 14th, 15th and 16th 2010 at London’s Tate Modern.

This once only opportunity is open to all non-professional, non-traditional and non-exhibited artists, living or dead. To enter, simply come to the Tate Modern with an unframed work on paper on May 14th, 15th or 16th 2010. The work must be yours or you must be the official owner or representative of it.

Works will be assessed on the spot by our esteemed Board of Trustees, comprising of artists, curators and anyone we like. If successful, the work will be displayed inside the Turbine Hall for the duration of the exhibition, published in a catalogue and invited to enter The Museum of Everything’s permanent collection.

Please don’t miss this golden opportunity. For more information please email everytate@gmail.com.

  1. I do hope this museum continues to operate. They do a bang-up job, but in this economy a lot of top notch museums are struggling. The American Museum of Folk Art in NY had to cut back their published magazine, Folk Art, to once a year and then it was cut completely in print. Now we read the updates on-line, but I miss the scholarship immensely, plus the opportunity to advertise in a world class magazine.
